Outpatient Rehab in Ohio

Outpatient rehab at The Recovery Village Columbus can help you or a loved one schedule your recovery around your work, school and life commitments.

What Is Outpatient Rehab?

Outpatient drug and alcohol rehab involves scheduled visits with our addiction treatment providers, including therapists, social workers and doctors. You’ll visit the facility for treatment at hours that work with your schedule, then return home. Outpatient rehab is a lower-cost, flexible option, but clients are completely responsible for their sobriety while not in treatment.

If these apply to you, outpatient rehab could be a good fit for you.

About Our Outpatient Care Program

Outpatient rehab can help clients transition to their day-to-day life after inpatient treatment, or it can be the first level of care for people with milder addictions.

You’ll address the root of your addiction in one-on-one sessions with your counselor, build fellowship and support in group therapy, and receive high-quality medical care on your schedule so you can keep working, going to school or caring for your family.

What we offer

Our Process

What You Can Expect in Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient Rehab Emphasizes:

While attending outpatient rehab, many individuals remain immersed in their daily life and responsibilities, including keeping a job and tending to their family’s needs. This kind of care involves scheduled part-time therapy sessions at The Recovery Village Columbus. For those with a fairly mild drug or alcohol problem, weekly appointments may suffice, while those with more deeply rooted addictions may opt for daily therapy. Regardless of frequency and intensity of treatment.

FAQs About Outpatient Rehab

Who needs outpatient addiction treatment?

A good candidate for outpatient rehab is:

  • In good health
  • Living with a strong support system at home
  • Fully committed to a recovery plan

While effective, this kind of therapy isn’t for everyone. An inpatient or partial hospitalization program will be better suited for you if:

  • You suffer from a long-term or severe addiction.
  • You’ve been to rehab before but haven’t followed through with it.
  • Your home environment is unstable or not conducive to recovery.
  • You have a complex, co-occurring disorder along with your addiction.

How long outpatient rehab takes varies from person to person. However, most clients complete their outpatient rehab program in 1–3 months or up to a year.

Medical detox is not provided in outpatient rehab. People who need medical detox can complete this program separately before starting inpatient or outpatient care.

Yes, outpatient rehab has helped many people recover from addiction. Substance use disorders cannot be “cured”, but recovery is possible. Our patients’ physical and mental health, relationships with loved ones, safety, legal status, employment or educational status, and relapse time often improve significantly after their care with us.

No, finding transportation to get to and from outpatient rehab appointments is the patient’s responsibility.

Insurance may cover some or all of outpatient rehab costs. Copays and meeting deductibles may still be involved. The Recovery Village Columbus also help people without insurance develop an affordable payment plan.

Several laws are in place that protect employees when they attend detox and rehab.

REVIEWS

Your Recovery Is Our Mission

If you struggle with addiction, you’re not alone. Read our reviews and explore why The Recovery Village Columbus may be the right place for your addiction recovery.

RVC is a great place to be when you need help recovering from drugs and alcohol. The staff is amazing and they really listen to you. I wouldn't trade any of the clinicians even the one's that I didn't work with one on one.
The staff at RVC made me feel like my thoughts and opinions mattered.
If you need a place to go for help please please please check out RVC, you won't be sorry.
I left Columbus Recovery Village July 9th after a 30 day stay. I want to write a honest review. The facility is not what is shown online. It is fairly dirty. The medical side of things could be better. I didn’t receive detox meds for 30 hours after arrival. Some nurses lack empathy. The food is fairly good and adequate. Salad bar at every meal. The group facilitators are phenomenal and make group therapy amazing. Mel and Christopher are amazing humans and love unconditionally. I had a solid relapse prevention plan upon discharge. Recovery can and was found here. These people changed my life and I feel like I received the tools and care to remain sober if I follow what they said. They asked me to give up one thing and receive everything or sacrifice everything for that one thing. If you are struggling and are committed to do anything, do yourself a favor and check in with complete abandon and get help.
Mel....Ur a inspiration to all.. because u went to Heaven..to come back and make a way to all..for the Lord brought u back

The staff are the best and the environment creates a community of people that are passionate and supportive.
Every psych facility is bound to have problems but this facility makes an effort to constantly improve and actually listens to patients. They maintain rules while still allowing patient freedom. The patients who come here actually want to improve and the staff do a great job facilitating that. More often than not people finish in a much better place than when they entered. It lives up to the name and is focused on helping people with recovery of all types. For those jaded by the poor state of mental health treatment this facility may be a breath of fresh air and allow you to begin to make progress on the root cause of problems beyond just slapping a medication on you.
This is my first time being in a Recovery Center and the experience I had was wonderful. The people I met are friends for life and the staff were amazing and helpful when I needed them. Jessica did my intake and I had a great conversation with her and it truly helped me feel better about my decision. The BHT’s and nurses work hard to help everyone when we had questions or needed things. The clinicians that ran groups know what they are talking about and help to get the patients to open up as to why you are there. They have all helped me to become the person I knew I could be.
